Yoga Retreat and Renewal
Friday 5pm - Sunday 12pm, August 8 - 10

Join Elizabeth Gardner for a weekend of Yoga and relaxation on the shores of Lake Champlain! We will dip into the practices of Yin and Exploratory Yoga to shed our busyness and allow our bodies and souls to unwind and unfold. Moving consciously and slowly through poses, we will gain a deeper understanding of how to work the poses to release tension and increase vitality. We will go over simple pranayama (breathwork) and practice breathing meditation.

Enjoy the stillness and beauty of BBCC's many trails that wind through their 130 acre mosaic of forests, fields, cliffs and beaches. Sit in a chair and gaze out at the Adirondacks while you hear the lap of waves on the rocky shore or bring your bike and take a long ride along the nearby bike trail. Program begins after a delicious dinner Friday night and concludes with lunch on Sunday. Cost of the workshop is $125 and includes 8 hours of yoga/meditation/ dialogue. See below for food and lodging costs (includes 2 overnights and all meals from Friday night through Sunday lunch). Program is appropriate for all levels of experience.

$125/person plus food and lodging. Lodging and Meals: Single room - $150; Double - $130; Triple - $110

Caring for the Earth: Faith Community Action in a Radically Changing World
October 26-28, 2008
The Rev. Canon Sally Grover Bingham, an Episcopal priest and founder of the Regeneration Project, will lead a retreat to help faith community leaders, both lay and clergy, to prepare for the future of global climate change and diminishing energy resources. The event, which is sponsored by the BBCC and Vermont Interfaith Power and Light (VTIPL) will include a variety of workshops.

The Regeneration Project is an interfaith ministry devoted to deepening the connection between ecology and faith and to helping people of faith recognize and fulfill their responsibility for the stewardship of creation. The project’s Interfaith Power and Light Campaign, of which VTIPL (www.vtipl.org) is a member, is mobilizing a national religious response to global warming while promoting renewable energy, energy efficiency and conservation. Bingham and The Regeneration Project are recipients of a number of national and international awards for their pioneering work in addressing global climate change. Download flyer (pdf).
